RBLDNSD + Exim with cPanel

Hi,

I'm trying to get RBLDNSD running so I do some custom mail filtering using Exim's DNSLIST function.

I've found a guide to installing it

but am unable to get the BIND zone forwarding to work properly so the "dig" test doesn't work

Any clues/tips from the gurus?

OK. After a good nights sleep and a mug of decaf coffee, I figured out what the problem was...

dig, nslookup and friends use /etc/resolv.conf to figure out which nameserver to speak to when performing a lookup.

I added the IP of the server (rather than 127.0.0.1) as the first entry and voilà! it works :D

WHM :: Main >> Networking Setup >> Resolver Configuration

* The ConfigServer Firewall security-check advises AGAINST using 127.0.0.1 in resolv.conf
