RBLs re-activating after cPanel upgrade?

I've got a number of RBLs entered in my servers that I've tried / worked with over the years that are currently disabled. Greylisting has been wonderful, and a lot of my RBLs have been disabled because of false positives.

Twice now, after automatic cPanel updates, I've had ALL of them re-enable themselves silently and result in numerous tickets for bounced mail.

I will be removing all unused RBLs because of this, but who in their right mind thought that this was a good idea?

Could you verify which method you used to implement the custom RBLs so we can attempt to reproduce the issue?
