re backup overwriting existing data

    Hi,
    i am new to cpanel earlier i was using DA i want to know if i have a domain

    xyz .com and i restore a back to the same account which is also for xyz . com will it overwrite the existing data.

    please recommend

    cPanel restorations are performed on the basis of username, not domain. If both have the same username, then cPanel/WHM will attempt to deter you from restoring the account. If you override this, then the existing data will be overwritten.

    There is no way to "merge" accounts via cPanel/WHM. If you need to restore that content, you could always temporarily change the username and domain for the existing account, restore the account then arrange things as you desire.
