Hi,

I have a Godaddy VPS with cPanel & WHM, the latest version.

I had make a new FTP user account by cPanel, then discovered it haven't "READ ONLY" permission.

Do cPanel can do this right now on the latest version? If so how to? Better with a WiKi or document step detail.

Thank you.

I have been looking for the same thing. I managed to get the FTP user account to be read only by:

Login as root:
Set permissions for FTP user folder to: 500
Set permissions for files in said folder to: 400
Make sure files are owned by Cpanel user: chown cpaneluser:cpaneluser
