    Hello,

A server locked up today during backups and somehow everything is read only.

It doesn't make since since the permissions and ownership for the accounts are normal.

What could make everything ready only besides permissions and ownership?

    Thanks, Charles

Does mount report your partitions as being mounted read-only?

    Thanks for helping Ben.

    Yes it was.

I got it to work with a file system check and reboot.
