Really BAD DNS server issues, stops resloving

Hello,

I have a huge issue with DNS on my cPanel box. It appears about every other week or so DNS will stop resolving domains. DNS service will show up but it isn't resolving anything. The fix seems to be restarting DNS but this is now 7th or 8th occurrence and I really want to know how to prevent DNS from doing this in the future as this box runs as my primary/secondary DNS server. I'm not very familiar with Linux DNS application, just enough to get by the web interface. Any help would be appreciated.
