    Hi -

I have a vBulletin writing workshop that was installed by vBulletin on my cPanel.

I've now added a subdomain for some additional writing of my own, but I'm afraid to do anything with it for fear that I might obliterate the writing workshop by accident.

How and where do I create the home page for this subdomain? What do I name the file, precisely? How do I make sure that THIS index file won't accidentally delete the one that's assigned to the writing workshop?

Yep - I'm pretty computer ignorant.

I would REALLY appreciate any and all help.

    Thanks -

    Jo-Ann

When you create a sub-domain, you must enter a sub-domain name. Lets assume the subdomain is called purple.yourdomain.com. Well, cpanel would create a folder called "purple" within your public_html directory. Therefore, you would upload your sub-domain web pages into the following folder:

    /public_html/purple/

Your main page would need to be called index.html

    /public_html/purple/index.html

    That is it, very simple.
