recommended setting for Maximum percentage of failed or deferred message?

    I have just spotted a nice feature in WHM.

    Maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages a domain may send per hour.

    What is the default % recommended for a shared server?

    50%?
    25%?

    We have it set to unlimited as the default, so we do not have a recommended other value. This is up to you for the number of failed messages that can be failed or deferred.

    You might want to consider that if a user sends 3 messages and 1 of them fails or is delayed, then that would be 33% right there and that user won't be able to send any more emails that next hour if you set the option to 25%. If you set it to 50% and they send 5 messages and 3 fail, then that's 60% and they won't be able to send any more emails the next hour. There's no per hour limit to trigger it, so very low email sending limits with a failure or defer can trigger it.
