Using "apache upgrade" I have compiled php with some options and it works. If using phpinfo() I get the Configure Command and try to recompile it via ssh.

It doesn't work. I receive this error when I run make :

ext/zlib/zlib.lo: file not recognized: File truncated
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    make: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1

I need to recompile it by hand to add --enable-dbase

    Any idea ?

    Thank you

    Try dropping the

    --with-zlib

    from the configure line.

Or you can try chanign it to this:

    --with-zlib=/home/cpapachebuild/buildapache/php-4.3.4/ext/zlib

Or wherever the zlib.so file is on your system.
