I am really interested in finding a solution to this one. Preferably I would like to change exim so there is no error sent back to the user no matter what, rather, it is sent at the smtp level. If what I have read is correct, by sending the error at the smtp level it is then up to the 'other' side to receive the message and notify the user (whether it be valid or not). This would prevent my server from sending emails out which could end up being considered spam. I certainly do not want to get blacklisted because I am sending legit emails for errors due to forgeries, joe job, etc.

If anyone could chime in I would appreciate it and I am sure a lot of others as well.
