I'm running RH8 with WHM6.4.2 R47. I want to keep the system up to date using RHN and already purchased the entitlement, however, any update I'm running tries to download httpd2... something, so apache 2.0, and then the install fails (assumedly because we're using an earlier version of apache with WHM?)

    Any way to fix this?

I am no up2date pro but here are 2 options:

    1. you can choose to skip any packages with up2date
    2. use up2date via webbrowser by logging into the RedHat Network and choosing what updates you would like applied to the given system.

thanks, found the RPM installer in WHM this time... can't believe I forgot it, because I installed some stuff with it before. Looks like I didn't even need to buy that entitlement... will just use it for the home machine instead.

However, up2date DID update my kernel but then failed on the grub config. I'm kind-a afraid to reboot the thing -- better wait until I have remote hands in the data center.
