Ever since we switched to a Redhat 9 server we have had problems with logins on php scripts. I have duplicated this with invision board, phpnuke, phpbb, any support ticket system (support logic, help center live, etc.).
The problem is that a user will login and it will redirect to the web site saying that the login was successful. But if the user tries to access secure areas or post a message it returns them to the login screen. So it does not remember that they are logged in.
If the user enables the "remember me" checkbox when logging in then everything works fine. So this confirms that it's not a user problem - cookies are enabled, tested on multiple OS systems and browsers, etc.
What could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
