I have a quick question about OS updates. I'm running Redhat enterprise with RHN management entitlements. Should I be scheduling OS updates through the RedHat Network or cPanel or both? I'm assuming I need to look for kernel updates and such from RHN but what do I do about the application updates?

    Anyone have any advice here?

    thanks.

    Go on, have a guess
Your nightly upcp run will install any updates from RHN that aren't in your up2date pkgSkipList configuration. Have a search on the forums for a sensible list. I would recommend having your kernel in the skiplist and doing that manually.
