Hello everybody,

I'm a webmaster for a small technology company. My company has a large amount of purchased web domains that are associated with the market that we are in, and we would like to redirect them all to our main website domain. Each parked domain has been set to the proper DNS settings provided by our hosting company. I tried a redirect of the first two domains in the Cpanel list of the parked domains section. I know sometimes the redirect is not immediate , but so far I have left it for 48 hrs and it still does not go to our website when typing the url into a browser. I also went to the actual "Redirects" section of Cpanel and setup a 302 temporary redirect with "With or Without WWW" selected + Wildcard. After a few hours still nothing. Does anyone have any idea whats wrong?

Thanks for your time!

Hello :)

Are you receiving a specific error message or page displayed when you access the parked domain name? Or, is is simply not resolving to an IP address?

Thank you.

There are no errors messages when accessing the parked domain through Cpanel. The parked domains just won't redirect to my site when when typed into a blank browser window. I contacted our hosting providers and they informed me they recently expanded the hard drive space of the server used by my account and they think maybe the DNS mapping for some of my parked domains are broken. They told me to go to this website called network-tools.com and check the domains I'm having trouble with and as expected the DNS cannot be found. They (providers) told me one solution is to manually remove the parked domains and then add them back it should fix the DNS problem. I started doing that and some are working and then some continue to not connect with my main site. I guess I'll wait and see.

Hi,

I'm having an issue where the webpage just comes up with the words "This domain name is currently parked". It has been over 24 hours since I set up the parked domains (there are 3). What could be the reason and how can I fix it?

Cheers.

It sounds like the domain is still pointing to the domain registrar's nameservers if you are getting that message. It sounds like a parked page that domain registrars use. Have you verified you've changed the nameservers at your domain registrar?
