    Hi,

I'm having an issue trying to redirect a subdomain from my main server (server1) to an other server (server2). What I did is adding a A entry in my domain.com DNS zone in WHM on the server1 :

    sub.domain.com A ipserver2

I also added a new account in the server2 named sub.domain.com but it's not working.
When I ping sub.domain.com, it gives me the server1 ip address.

Does anyone know how to solve that?

    Thanks

You need to allow some time for the dns propagation. After that your subdomain will start resolving. You can use following command to check if you have added record correctly.

    dig @ns1.yourdomain.com sub.domain.com +short

It should show IP of your server2.

dig @ns1.yourdomain.com sub.domain.com +short show the good ip address but the ping doesn't

I added this record 3 days ago..
