    Hi,

I have an account on my cPanel server which has ~100 redirects set up on it. Different 301 etc. standard redirects set up in the client cPanel. But somehow and for so far unknown reasons, these redirects disappears sooner or later! The server simply deletes the redirects.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening, or what I can do to prevent this in the future?

    Thanks.

Is the .htaccess file in public_html itself still there but empty, or the .htaccess file also goes missing when this happens?

It is merely empty. It does not get deleted.

Modify the good file (with your redirects in it) somehow, and save. Now it has a new modified date on it. Next time it "goes missing" check the date on it and see if it changed. I'm not aware of anyway for the server to empty an htaccess file out of the blue.

The file has been edited right after all redirects were removed. Is there any cpanel script that can cause this, or is it some script on the hosting account that invokes this?
