Reject at SMTP time when Email Send Limits reached

Hey there! I wouldn't expect to see them frozen in the queue either. According to the documentation page you linked, the following action happens:

"After the system reaches a limit, it does not block additional messages at SMTP time. Instead, the system accepts and then discards the messages."

There isn't a way to adjust this behavior, so you'd need to submit a Feature Request if you wanted to see more options to control that.
