The 0.0.1.4 ALPHA release of the X4 plugin has a full implementation of the List Management design we floated a while back and is now available in the cPanel Themes Page for everyone to play with. With 0.0.1.4 ALPHA you can now search and paginate your list of email accounts, create new ones, update passwords and quotas, as well as delete email accounts. X4 now also implements form validation messages to ensure the validity of user input.

Further, we took the well-hidden "Configure Email" feature from X3, redesigned it, and made it much more prominent when working with Email Addresses on your account. You can find a link to how to set up common email clients directly from the Manage screen for each email address, as well as right after you create a new Email Address. If you'd like to read more about this feature, check out the docs.

The full run down of what can be found in the 0.0.1.4 ALPHA Release of X4 is available in our release notes. As always, let us know what you think!

Looks like the X3 theme with a few additional features. If you like x3, looks good, otherwise, it's the same.

My personal list of things that would improve the theme:

redo the features list in cPanel(complete overhaul as there is like nothing now, except the bare minimum) and also add: advanced option in WHM, allow root to determine what should be visible by default, and what should be visible only when they click advanced.

Most internet guru's say: more clicks is bad, I personally would change that to: more page changes is bad.
I would suggest a simplistic overview with a dig to what you need click system driven by ajax. That way the page doesn't reload(really sells the system).

a few features I think cPanel could use:

1, ACL login system(allow other people to access certain areas of a cPAnel account, and of course a user/ACL management system within the main cPanel account).

2,Would love to see a key entry into cPanel/WHM (perhaps a toolbar with a key-generator that also can be used with SSL).

Yes, we are definitely paying attention to clicks and page-changes, but we're also being careful not to "over-optimize" them as well. Some definitely are necessary and we're intending to make the right decisions about how many there absolutely needs to be. Watch the company blog for an entry about this very topic from the X4 designer in the coming weeks.

The features you mention are great ideas to bring to cPanel Feature Requests. More and more, we'll be watching the feature request system to understand our customer's wants and needs. It's definitely the right place to get your ideas in front of the decision-makers here at cPanel.
