Remote Access Keys No Longer Working?

I used to be a reseller and used Remote Access Keys for automated account creation. I'm now on my own server and can't get it to work (4.9.0build 64). Has anyone else noticed this happen?

Does WHM prevent me from using the &root& account with RAK? That's the only change I've made to my code (yes, I'm using the new hash). I've checked and the Accounting.php.inc is present. I'm not even getting a response from the 'createacct' function. I've already verified the data being passed to the function is valid.

I've created a reseller account for one of my other domains on the server and can't get that to work either, so I know it's not the root thing.

Do you have curl+ssl installed?

yup. I use it all the time when talking to PayPal.
