Remote Back Up Crashing

Over the last week or so I have had a problem with the remote FTP back ups from my server crashing. To my knowledge, nothing has changed in the setting of my FTP server on the box for the remote back up. What happens is that after a few of the back ups are transferred, the ftp of the backup fails and the whole back up locks up. The actually performing of the back up and storage on the server works just fine. The log file that I am emailed indicates that there were no errors. However I get another email with the following error...

+===================================+
| Transport Disabled |
+===================================+
| Name: XXXXXXX
| Type: FTP
| Remote Host: ###.###.###.###
|
| Reason: Transport surpassed error threshhold with “4†errors
+===================================+

Any idea where I can track down what the cause is?

Hello :)

Please review the following log file:

Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter.log
Could you check and let us know if you notice any specific errors associated with the failure to store the backups to the remote server?

Thank you.

Michael I am going to send you a private message with the last contents of that log.

The error message you referenced was:

[2014-01-21 00:13:52 -0500] warn [cpbackup_transporter] Upload attempt failed: time out reached
I suggest browsing to "WHM Home » Backup » Backup Configuration" and increasing the "Timeout" value for the remote FTP destination.

Thank you.

I increased it from 300 to 600. I'll send a follow up in a few days to let you know the progress. Thanks!
