    hi,

i'm looking for a way to setup a daily backup of 2 or 3 databases ONLY in the account of an user.

Right now it will backup and ftp ALL databases, which is too much, i only need 2 (in the future 3) databases from that account.

Is it possible to select what databases it should backup?

    thanks,

You can write a simple crontab script with the command MYSQLHOTCOPY. Check Mysql site documentation for the command. It backs up huge databases (1.5 million records and growing) in 2-3 seconds.

thank you, i will look into it.

can it ftp to a remote location as well? since i'm looking for a solution that will automatically back them up and ftp to a remote location.

i'm not much of a scripter, that's why i hoped this was possible with Cpanel.
