Remote MySQL server

    Hello,

    I want to setup a remote MySQL server.

    When the remote server is running CentOS, MySQL and i copy the /var/lib/mysql dir from the local server to the remote server is this working?

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    that would be correct. before copying, ensure both local/remote mySQL servers are running matching mySQL versions.
    Once copied, simply restart mysql and run a "mysqlcheck -Ao" to ensure databases are usable.

    Question, when i setup the remote sql database in the whm on the local server will after the setup the local database still working? so the databases that runs under hostname: localhost still working on the local database?

    simpel: will the local mysql client still working after setup remote mysql
