Remote Website, local Email help with DNS Zones needed

Hi Newbie to these forums here.

I have a domain set up in WHM with the an A record in my DNS pointing to the ip address where the website is hosted on a different server.

But I want to run the domain's email locally on my WHM/Cpanel setup however I cannot use my local server's IP address as an MX record which is defauled to the domain.com.

Can anyone tell me how my dns zones should be set up for this to work, all help very much appreciated.

You could change the MX record to mail.domain.com and then add an A record for mail.domain.com to point to the machine you want the mail to exist on.
