I inadvertantly assigned the wrong IP when setting up a SSL cert. I want to remove the cert and key and then start over. Do I just delete the .key and .cert files or what exactly do I do? Any help appreciated.

Correct the IP in the httpd.conf and restart apache - no need to remove anything.

Thanks Annette, but I'm not finding that entry in httpd.conf . Maybe I should explain further. I'm setting up a new server and used the server IP instead of the domain name's IP.

If the install was successful, there should be a NameVirtualHost 1.2.3.4:443 entry in httpd.conf (or a search for SSLVerify while in the file should bring it to the surface). If that exists in httpd.conf, you can simply correct the IP to reflect the site IP and be done. If not, you can just reinstall the cert and assign the correct IP at that time. To my knowledge, it isn't necessary to physically delete the cert and key from the server, even if you're reinstalling the same cert and key. The system will overwrite them as it needs to when you reinstall.
