Noticed this in current. So tailwatch isn't used for chkservd anymore? Just used on it's own? I'm looking into this to see if I can understand what's been changed. I have a machine here that's been completely unreliable running current for checking ftp/imapd. Authentication failing for no reason that I can see.
A chkservd driver allows chkservd to monitor a particular service. chkservd is in turn a Tailwatch driver. chkservd cannot monitor Tailwatch. Hence, we removed the chkservd tailwatch driver. It's circular.
