This is probably pretty obvious but I have always been paranoid about accidentally screwing up and locking myself out of the server. I currently have 2FA enabled for WHM root access. It's been working fine but I now need to bring a new person on board temporarily to do some work for me. To temporarily disable the WHM 2FA is it just as simple as clicking the off button at the top of the Two-Factor Authentication page in WHM?

If I turn that off then in the future want to turn it back on will it still work with the old authentication app on my phone as is or will I have to set that all up again and do the QR code thing again to set it up?

If you have root ssh access you can do the following,
cd /var/cpanel/authn/twofactor_auth
and rename the two .json files to something else. Rem to change back when your work is done!
