How do we remove a main IP address from a server?

We are changing out 10 IP addresses on one of the servers. We have successfully removed all but one IP address of the old list and have added in all ten of the new IP addresses. The one IP address we were unable to remove was the old &main ip address&. We went into the Server Setup and changed the main IP address, but it still doesn't seem to let us remove it.

Any ideas?

You will need to edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and change alle these data. Also You will need to edit /etc/sysconfig/network and change the gateway.

Thanks!

Thanks! I figured out one of the errors as the CPanel folks emailed me and said that there were still some sites associated with that IP and that is one reason as it to why it wouldn't let me remove it.

But, I went into those config files and it looked to be listed, too. Didn't think it would be this hard to transfer from one ISP to another. =/

Thanks!
