removing all emails from pop3 from set email

i need to remove all emails from my pop3 account on a cpanel server that my friend owns.
basically its all the failed emails i want to remove and i want to keep other emails in the account is there any script that will look thru my pop3 account and remove any emails from a set email addrress?

Umm.. no... neither of those will tackle the problem described, but just to make sure we understand the problem:

A user has an email account containing both wanted and unwanted email messages. "wanted" messages should be retained while "unwanted" messages should be removed.

Couple of questions:
1) how many messages are we looking to process?
2) do you know what format they're in now? (mbox or maildir)
3) can you access messages through another method, say shell access, IMAP, etc. or is POP your only option?
