    Hi

I want to remove one of my clients custom nameservers. I have removed their account but the nameservers still exist. How can i get rid of them so i can use the IPs for another client?

    Cheers

They should be in /etc/nameserverips or login to the WHM >> Networking Setup >> Nameserver IPs

This normally happens when your client have left you and they forget or fail to change their NS IPs at the registrar.

If you have DISABLE NS WHOIS LOOKUP (UNCHECKED), the server will again reassign the IPs to the NS for your clients.

    To resolve this, you can:

    1. As root, under WHM, (CHECK) DISABLE NS WHOIS LOOKUP
    2. Edit /etc/nameserverips and assign the IPs to your new client.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing him in the right direction, I figured it was something to that effect but wasn't "in" WHM at that moment to paste it out.
