Cpanel is really great but we have a small niggly issue when we host the web site on the cpanel server and host the emails at another server.

Those clients, whose email is hosted on a different server tend to login to cpanel and see the email controls so start setting up email accounts...of course which have no effect whatsoever as the mail is not hosted there.

The responses we get is..."oh well thats not very good" or "is something broken".

Does anyone know if its possible to somehow check a box somewhere in WHM which removes the mail admin functions in the cpanel admin interface for individual clients?

I think you'd create a new Feature List > Packages Section of WHM. Untick webmail there. Then edit that package the client uses to use that new Feature List without webmail.

I have not actually tried this, but I think it would work.

    Hi Infopro,

yes, I created a new feature list called NOMAIL and disabled all the mail related items in the feature list.

I then had to create a new package and assign the new NOMAIL feature list to that package and then assign the users account to the new package.

Only took about 10 minutes to learn and apply and it appears to work quite well because after login to the users cpanel account the mail tab has disappeared.

Thanks for the help and some kudos coming your way!
