Removing redirected mail

I have all of my e-mail redirected to gmail. Since this is not pop3, the messages are never removed from the server until I go in and do it manually. Is there any setting that will automatically remove my messages after a day or two without using pop3?

Since you are using forwarders, there is no need to actually have an account
at all, thus nothing will be stored on the server. Just delete your mail account
and keep your forwarder.
