As you know, if you use a Reseller or the server's ROOT password, you can log into any CPanel account. I would like to see the ability to bypass any restrictions that may be put in place if you use the ROOT or Reseller password.

I second this, restrictions lately are even more frustrating, we need to be able to login as the user everywhere to problem solve....

I would recommend you submit such a feature request to our feature request system at:

    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net

Be sure to paste a link to your feature request so others can CC themselves on it to be notified of updates regarding the implementation of such a feature. Additionally, it will allow users to vote for your feature request as well.

The forums are not the optimal means by which to request new features, however the bugzilla system is.

I'm curious as to what you can't access that you need to while logged in as root to a users account? MySQL? This can be accessed via WHM. Fantastico?

Other than those two, I can't see whats not available to you?

You can't install a cPAddon on behalf of a user if you are logged in as reseller unless you follow the on-screen instructions:

Additionally, if you are a not root but instead are a reseller or reseller with root-level access (but not user root) you will not be able to administer the databases via PhpMyAdmin either in cPanel or WHM. We are currently working on resolving this issue in WHM.

Yes, since fundamentally the password you are using is the reseller password rather than the user's password. Note, if both are the same, cPanel will assume you intended to login as the reseller rather than the user.
