I realise that the default configuration for Exim, which cPanel uses, is to allow sending of e-mail by both SMTP auth and POP-before-SMTP. Could an option be added, perhaps to the tweak settings area, that allows me to always force SMTP auth, ie. removing the POP-before-SMTP option? I always want users to have to use SMTP authentication under all circumstances. I see on the forums that this can be done by editing /usr/sbin/antirelayd but unfortunately that gets overwritten when cPanel updates, so there needs to be an option in cPanel for this.

    Go on, have a guess
It's already there in the new releases. Untick WHM > Service Manager > antirelayd
