Within WHM, I have the "Disallow account creation with packages that are not global or not owned by this user" checked. I have also unchecked every existing package in the Priviledges section of this particular reseller. It seems to me that he should therefore not be able to create accounts with any existing packages.

Yet he can create accounts with every single package on the server regardless of who created it.

Anyone know how to stop this? It's totally confusing for reseller to be presented with a list of 30 packages that they've never seen before when they create new accounts.

Please open a support ticket so we can determine what is happening. I am unable to duplicate it on test servers.

Same here. I have Virtual Dedicated Server hosted at Godaddy:

    WHM 11.1.0 cPanel 11.4.6-R13580
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Should I stay tuned to this thread for support or should I open a ticket as well?

    We're experiencing the same problem.

    Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Our resellers are creating domains with packages that don't belong to them - even ones created by root.

    version 11.4.6-C13580

I found this note on bugzilla regarding resellers creating accounts with root packages:

"This is the intended behavior and always has been."

It hasn't been that way for years, AFAIK. We don't want resellers using root packages as they were created by root and don't belong to the resellers. Until this month no reseller had ever used a root package, so I find it hard to believe that it has always been that way.

You don't have to because it hasn't. I am sure that when I created a reseller and logged in as the reseller, there were zero packages.

    hi,
yes my resellers are able to see all available packages on the box.

also check few of my reseller had the "allow creation of packages with shell access" option enabled automatically, I've never included any account or reseller with this option.

    seems some script needs attention.

    see ya,
    mohit

They used the "WORKSFORME" resolution. Pretty much means that they wont fix it because they can't reproduce the problem. I'd give them access to my server too...
