Reseller Account Questions

I just setup a new reseller account but when I login to the reseller account (WHM) there are no options to create a new hosted domain account? Have I missed something in the configuration? I thought that a reseller account would be able to use a limited set of WHM functions but could create/host their own domains, possibly even on a different Ip address if available.

Did you make them a reseller when creating that account or using the "Add Reseller Privileges" functionality of the Reseller Center section of WHM?

I ticked the reseller box when I initially created the account.

When you do that, you are granting them reseller access but no privileges to go along with that reseller access. You will need to set any privileges you desire that reseller to have (e.g. creating accounts) via Reseller Center.
