The server specifications are:
- AMD XP-2000 (1.67Ghz)
- 1GB SDRAM
- 60GB IDE (master)
- 40GB IDE (slave)
The server has about 450 accounts on it which were copied over from another server running Cpanel using the account transfer tool. When we click &Reseller Center& from WHM it causes the server's load average to run at around 35.0, which is very heavy load.
We've tried replacing CPUs (there was originally an XP1600 in the machine), we've tried replacing the SDRAM and hard drives.
From what I can tell it rips all the data used in the Reseller Center straight from the /var/cpanel/ dir, could there be inherent performance issues with 300+ accounts using a flat-file data source?
Has anyone seen anything like this happen? We're stumped as to what the problem might be, if anyone has any suggestions or has experienced similiar syptoms please let me know.
Thanks.
