I come from a Windows hosting world working with WebsitePanel and am trying to find my way around WHM and CPanel.

If I assign a user as a Reseller, then login as that person, I have the dropdown to change between accounts, but I don't have the ability to actually create new accounts. I understand that if I login to WHM as root and go into the Resellers area, I can assign my user/reseller additional permissions but that is done on a single reseller and only after the account has been created.

Is it possible to setup a default set of reseller permissions to be assigned to all resellers when they're added?

It seems a little odd to me that a reseller cannot by default add additional accounts. Doesn't that kind of define what a reseller is?

Or am I missing something?

Hello,

You can actually access Web Host Manager with the reseller username and password, as opposed to using the cPanel interface to create accounts. Also, note that you can save the feature/privileges list so you can easily apply it to new resellers by using the "Save this list as (optional)" option under "Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges" in WHM.

Thank you.
