Reseller email accounts when using own dns

    Anyone had experiance of this or know how to prevent it / fix it from happening again:

    I have added a reseller account to my server and given him his own ip numbers so he adds his own dmoains under his own hosting label.

    Whenever there are changes to cpanel (ie license number was renewed and just now upgraded cpanel from 8.4.0 release_91 to 8.5.4 release_7) all his customers mail accounts stop working until the dns repropagates about 24-48 hours later.

    His customers can still access their mail via Squirelmail but not via Outlook or an outside service such as

    Last time it was just a matter of waiting 24-48 hours and then it all worked again but by then his customers were complaining becasue of no mail.

    Has anyone else had this problem and if so found a way to fix?

    All domain on the main server IP have no problems at all accessing Outlook settings etc. It is only with the resellers IP number that this happens. His sites appear to still work but not mail.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.
