    Hello All

It seems the support on this forum is pretty good.

I have 2 questions, see if anyone has experience this.

    Issue 1:
A reseller was given (added to the box via WHM. Given accesses to the ips via WHM Reseller Center) an additional 30 ips The reseller is able to see the ips in the drop down.
He selects one of the ips, but when the account is created it uses the shared ip that was given to him.

    Issue 2:
I would like to allow my resellers to have the "Change Ip" functionality in their WHM panel.
I don't see it in there interface. Of course they would only be able to change the ip to what they are given access to.

Thank You all and have a great day!

    WHM> Reseller >Reseller Center

Edit Previleges > Allow Creation of Packages with a Dedicated IP

Manage Ip Delegation > Restrict ips 'reseller' can use for accounts.

Anything other than the above, that I should be looking at ?

    Thanks.

I'm also having this problem but AFTER the account is created. I see no options at all
where the reseller can modify an account's IP address.

    Anyone?

It's not working for me either, they have the drop down list but it always gives the servers default i.p.?

Anyone know why resellers cannot add their own dedicated i.p.?

To reserve the ip address: Log into WHM using a user with root access. Click "Show/Edit Reserved IPs", then tick the box next to the resellers ip to prevent it being shared with new accounts.

This isn't available at the moment (unless the reseller has root access), but it sounds like a good idea - submit this as a feature request in bugzilla.cpanel.net (if it isn't already there).

Ok, the change ip feature might not be available.

But the issue I am having is.

I give a reseller a set of ips for them to use.
They are able to see it in the drop down.
They are able to select it from the drop down.
When they select the ip and create the account, the account is created with the resllers main shared ip, instead of the one he/she coose from the drop down menu

ah - i see. doesn't sound like cpanel should be doing that... which version of cpanel are you running?

i can't replicate the error (because I don't have any spare ips to play with!).

might be worth submitting a bug report if others are having the same prob (assuming it hasn't already been reported?)
