    Hi,

A reseller or a host could simply use their own nameservers without even changing the nameserver at the server. It simply works when you make your own ns' from where you got the domain.

The question is: how can we enforce resellers or hosts to use a specific nameserver and nothing else.

    Custom Nameserver

    Hello,

I do see what you are trying to acomplish, and unfortunately it is not something we can directly support. I am not saying that it is not possible, however it would require a substantial amount of customization. That would make it very difficult for us to support. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you,
    Matthew Curry

    Hi,

To setup custom nameservers on WHM/Cpanel Reseller Unlimited Accounts you need to do the following:

1.) Ensure that your domain registrar allows you to create custom nameservers with your domain name.
2.) Choose the prefix you wish to use with your domain, e.g. ns1.yourdomain.com ns2.yourdomain.com
3.) Ask your domain registrar to set them up using the two IP addresses that were provided in your welcome email for the primary and secondary nameservers for our server where your reseller account resides, e.g. ns1.yourdomain.com - 123.56.78.90 ns2.yourdomain.com - 123.56.78.90
4.) Submit a ticket informing your hosting service provider about what nameservers you will be using and want to set them up on our server. You may require to purchase 2 IP address to setup nameservers on that IP addresses.
