I added this feature into my order system, was quite simple to do really,
unfortunately I dont have the time to make a billing system myself, so I was hoping that I could get my hands on a modernbill license to add the feature into that and maybe release a hack or something, but unfortunately mb wouldnt give me a discounted license, dont really want to pay their prices, and they wouldnt let me buy a cheap copy from someone else,
never mind :)

I think ti's pretty ridicolous that you need to add a domain in order to create a reseller account.

What do you guys use to create the domain?

demo.com?
theirname.com?
r121231.com?

Quikie Steps

Create a mini package in Root - I have a 1MB Web Space and 1MB Data Transfer

Setup their account using it

Make them a Reseller - make it so they can only see their own packages and assign proper quotas plus overselling plus regular Reseller stuff, also make sure all this is done before sending a &Welcome& eMail and giving them access

Mention that they have to create their own package for their self and transfer themselve to it, 500MB of Web Space and a few GB of Data Transfer should do it for their own site. They have to treat themselves as if they were a Client. If they assign themselves all available Web Space & Data Transfer, there will be none left over for Clients!

thats no faster than normal really, you still have to go through a few processes to get a reseller account setup,
the easiest thing is to make a php or perl script to do everything for you when someone has ordered a package

If I had 20 or 30 Resellers signing up everyday, then yes, the script method might be worthwhile. Fortunately, I'm not that busy -- and hope I never will be.

One should enjoy what one does, or look for something else. ;)

Well we are getting 10 to 20 reseller signups a day.. I would love to have something like this or at least be able to check the boxes by default that I need. But can't seem to find the reseller page to be able to edit it.. :(

So packages would be SUPER and I would think would be easy to addin..

Not to make light of the situation, but anyone having double-digit Reseller signup should be in a position to pay (at least minimum wage) for manual setup -- no?

To create a step-by-step Template for someone to follow and allowing even a half-hour for each setup, would seem to be the solution for the moment.

As there are some steps that cannot be completed before others and/or a certain sequence to follow, can anyone mention another Control Panel that does this? I keep thinking that although a Control Panel is nice, it cannot do everything required by a good SysAdmin -- nor should it.
