Resellers can't assign IPs?

I purchased 10 IPs to be used for both new signups and existing accounts. I am a reseller on a shared system/virtual private.

WHM, according to MY host, won't allow them to grant me IP management as a reseller... I can only have it if I have dedicated because I need root access.

Why would a reseller not be allowed to have IP management? They have assigned those 10 IPs to me, and I have a list, and when signing up a new account I can allocate one.... but existing accounts are not given that option; * I * am not given that option.

Is this something that is changing with any updates or new releases? Shouldn't resellers be able to offer IPs as additional add-ons, not just with the initial package?

I cannot even add IPs to a special package and move all those accounts to a new package. It sounds easy enough to copy the same package and add IP to it, but WHM doesn't update IPs that way.... we either have to make a whole new account (Ugh!) or call on the root admin to do it (which is not always convenient or timely!).

not true a reseller can have access to IP address can evan have certain ones reserved for a certain reseller

If you have bought or are leasing the ip's then your host should let you have access to them

they may be just hording them ip's can be like gold on some netblocks

If they don't give you access get a new host

The reseller in question has been delegated their own ip addresses, but where
can the reseller access these ip's.

I've run into this as well. The only way I can find to let a reseller assign ip's to account is if it is done when the account is created. I haven't been able to give a reseller the "change ip of a account" link.

Hopefully this is something that will added to WHM.

check the box Allow Creation of Packages with a Dedicated IP

unfortanately this option has not been added for resellers I think cpanel was going to impliment this some time back if not submit a feature request
