How is one suppose to reset the Exim Configuration in cPanel 11.34?

    You would think that choosing:

Reset the entire Exim configuration to the default settings provided with cPanel & WHM

would be a fool-proof way to reset Exim and get a working configuration.

But no, this doesn't work. This fails with:

    Error message from syntax check:
2012-11-01 16:25:09 Exim configuration error in line 1611 of /etc/exim.conf.buildtest.work.gg44IbxpiNRr8DMO:
"maildir_use_size_file" option set for the second time

Granted, I know I am using some heavy customizations from 11.32. I'm trying to see what I need to do to get those to work in 11.34. But in order to do that, I need a clean slate on 11.34. But there doesn't appear to be anyway to completely wipe an exim configuration and start over with the defaults.

I encountered the same error. Did you ever manage to find a fix for it.

    Hello,

If you are having SSH access then try installing exim configuration again by running the below command.
    /scripts/eximup --force

or try changing exim to dovecot or courier-imap

    I upgraded from 11.27 (I guess, because I forgot) to 11.34.

My exim service died because of that incompatible conf
This is what I have done to successfully update my exim.conf

for this error: "maildir_use_size_file" option set for the second time

    I delete maildir_use_size_file from file /usr/local/cpanel/etc/exim/matchcf/maildir_format

then when I thought i could finish /scripts/buildeximconf, I got this error:

"quota_is_inclusive" option set for the second time

so I delete the line quota_is_inclusive from this file /usr/local/cpanel/etc/exim/matchcf/quota_directory

voila! /scripts/buildeximconf succeed, my exim server runs.

Is deleting those two lines potentially dangerous?
