Resize partition

Hello.

is there really a way to safely resize a partition? particularly reducing a partition size. The server is on a failover cluster. I could resize the vm but I am aware that I still need to also apply these changes to the actual cpanel/linux server. The goal is to reduce the size of the main partition or /.

Hey there! This would be a better question for your hosting provider, as cPanel itself just reads the disk data from the server and has no control over the partitions. Your host may have a tool to help resize the disk safely without the need to migrate to a new machine.
