    Hi all,
Our dedicated server which hosts a couple of websites, didn't have a reverse DNS record set (not sure what that means!). One has now been set up for us and I've been asked to update the DNS to point mailer.mydomain.com back to the server IP address but not sure where I should add this.
I have root access to WHM.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks

Unfortunately, our server is unmanaged. They have set up the reverse DNS but I need to apply these settings to the server, just not sure where.
    Thanks

If the hostname needs to be mailer.mydomain.com, then you should use WHM > Change Hostname area to do that. It will let you change the hostname to the one you need as well as add an A record into the DNS zone for that IP.
