    hi, I've tried the following

    service pop restart
    service cppop restart

I get the message "unrecognized service"

    Same thing with
    /etc/init.d/cppop restart
looked in the init.d folder and there is no pop or cppop

I can restart the service from WHM.

    What's up with that?
And what's the difference between pop and cppop?

    Thanks.

service dovecot restart or service courier restart
Which ever service you have enabled

the cppop name is for legacy systems running the pop3 server which will probably disappear at some point

    Howdy,

You likely need to restart dovecot or courierimap for what you're asking. cPpop is deprecated and should not be used.

    Thanks!
