Restore a Backup file ?

Is there a bug in the newer ver. of Cpanel that errors out when you try and restore a backup.tar file ? Seems to upload ok but after that, the screen disappears and no files are listed. It works ok on the server at interserver but not at the new location at burst---newer ver of CPANEL ??
