Our main HD went bad now, we have full backups of accounts on our backup HD, what is the fastest way to restore those accounts from backup HD to our new main HD? Restoring from WHM take forever
    Thanks

Is it the full server backup or individual accounts backups ? If you have full cPanel backups then just copy the backups to /home and you can restore the backups using /scripts/restorepkg USER.

If you have large number of users, then create a file and add all usernames in it as:

    user1
    user2
    user3

and then run the following command to restore the backups one by one:

WebScHoLaR, thanks for sharing, can you please share 2 more facts.

1). Best way to generate a txt file which includes all usernames, when the server is online and accounts are live.

2). what exactly does the "sleep 3" command trigger in your restore method.
EDIT: ok i got it, you want the script to wait 3 seconds, before it attempts another restore.

thanks again for your kind help.

    Try
    Code:
     cat /etc/userdomains | awk '{print $2}' | sort | uniq > yourFile.txt
