    Hello Forum Members,

I recently used cPanel to create a back-up of a website hosted by HostGator.

I am attempting to restore the back-up file (GZ file) using the back-up wizard in cPanel offered by a different hosting provider.

I successfully restored the files and can see the files on the new server. I am not sure how to restore the mysql db and all files/folders active on the server. It seems that I am missing a step.

Any assistance or guidance to the right documentation would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    Christopher

To restore completly CPanel account including files, database, email, crontab, b/w data, etc then you need to make a Full Backup.
