Restore Cpanel Backup.

    I generate a full backup with cpanel and i want to restore in whm on my dedicated server.
    i want to use "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file".
    Is it necessary to create an account before use it or whm create it automatically ?

    hi,
    just put the cpmove file at recommended place (eg. home or home2) and select and click restore, it will do everything for you, if its a large account it may take few extra minutes so have patience before cancelling it.

    How come in my backup directory i dont have cpmove ?

    hi,
    if you'v generated full backup from cpanel your backup tars would have name like
    backup-8.9.2006_15-21-41_username.tar.gz

    just place it on required place on your dedicated box and use "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file".
